New 'Express Bus' services launched in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, April 7, 2016

Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport has launched new 'Express Bus' services, designed to provide a wider coverage of bus network in the emirate.

The new services will meet the public demand with top priority for quality of service, said a statement.

According to the Bus Transportation Office, the new bus service will be implemented effective from April 8.

It has also rescheduled some of the existing services.

Meanwhile, paper tickets, which are being sold on board, will be stopped in all Abu Dhabi suburb buses and areas and only Hafilat card payment will be accepted.

Hafilat cards are available in all bus stations as well as all smart ticketing machines which are distributed in the entire emirate.

These modifications were set after a variety of studies that aim to enhance bus network and its infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. - TradeArabia News Service
