Traffic police are bracing themselves for an influx of Eid visitors as tens of thousands of extra cars are expected to descend on Bahrain from today (September 23). Patrols will be out in force to regulate traffic on all major routes and highways with a view to easing congestion and avoiding bottlenecks, according to the Interior Ministry’s Traffic Directorate general director Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
