Motorcity opens new spare parts centre at Ma’ameer

Motorcity Holdings, the sole distributor for a wide range of world class passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and industrial equipment in the kingdom, has opened a brand new parts distribution centre in Ma’ameer.
The announcement was made official during a press conference attended by the management of Motorcity, said a statement.
During the press conference held at the new facility, Brett Mommsen, general manager - After-Sales, said: “Motorcity remains committed to expanding and improving its operations within the kingdom. We are continuously working towards improving our customer service and now we are able to provide spare parts for over 16 franchises under one roof.
"This modern state of the art facility also provides our customers with a lounge, free Wi-Fi and refreshments while waiting for their parts delivery. Furthermore there is easy access and facilities for our paraplegic customers.”
The total area of this facility is 6,000 sq m and can accommodate over 75,000 line items.
At present, Motorcity Parts department stocks more than 43,000 line items for its Volvo, Citroen, SsangYong, Subaru, Chery, Luxgen, Denso, Isuzu, Hino, CMC, Tata-Daewoo, Daewoo, King long, Marshell, Hyundai earthmoving equipment and Kwanglim brands.
The four-storey structure has two cargo lifts, which will assist in transferring parts to locations on various floors. It also has two docking stations which facilitate fast and efficient loading and unloading of parts from containers.
With this new facility, Motorcity's warehouse capacity has been doubled, with a considerable improvement in the parts delivery time due to centralised operations.
The department will be able to follow the concept of ‘One part one location’ as used by all principal suppliers, said the statement.
This will facilitate efficient storage and faster delivery of parts to customers, it said. - TradeArabia News Service
