Al-Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor of Lexus in the UAE, has announced the arrival of the all-new NX 200t in the UAE, reinforcing the brand’s presence in the fast growing compact crossover segment.

Having pioneered the luxury-utility crossover category more than a decade ago with the original midsized RX 300, Lexus has revolutionised this segment once again with the all-new NX 200t, a statement said.

The turbocharged NX combines the expertise of racers within the engineering team and the impeccable touch of Lexus luxury through an exciting and sporty design to set a new benchmark in the automotive world.

The 2015 NX 200t and the F Sport version offer dramatic design alternatives to a segment populated by boxy offerings to reveal the boldest interpretation yet of the signature Lexus spindle grille and L-finesse design.

Also present at the launch was Takeaki Kato, Lexus NX chief engineer, who confirmed that this SUV represents the ultimate in premium urban sports gear and is designed to support an active lifestyle on the weekend while also complementing daily life on the move.

“The NX 200t is a Premium Crossover combining performance, numerous on-board technologies and an alluring design to make it desirable for customers. Luxury is epitomised by attention to even small but important details like the courtesy lights, the feel of the switches and other innovations that set new standards for future Lexus models.”

Looking more sports-car than sport-utility, the NX 200t features numerous firsts in a Lexus, including keyhole-less outside door handle; power reclining and power folding 60:40 split rear seat; cylinder head with integrated exhaust manifold, a wireless charging tray for compatible phones and devices; the new Lexus Remote Touch Interface (RTI) with a touch pad and a pre-load differential to control differential torque.  - TradeArabia News Service
