Bahrain mulls new driver training centre

Manama, January 18, 2012

Two General Directorate of Traffic centres – a new driver-training centre and a technical inspections centre – could open in the Muharraq area of Bahrain if a parliamentary proposal is approved by the government.

They would complement the existing National Driving Centre in A'ali and the technical inspections centre in the directorate's main headquarter in Isa Town.

MPs submitted two proposals to the government after complaints surfaced from Muharraq residents that the current centres were far from their homes. – TradeArabia News Service
