American car giant Ford has unveiled its new 2010 Taurus during an event at the Bahrain City Centre mall.

Taurus has already been dubbed as America's most innovative sedan and was the official vehicle of the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show.

It comes with Ford's Duratec 3.5-litre V-6 engine, generating net 263hp and 249 foot-pounds of torque.

It is equipped with a comprehensive package of active and passive safety features, including dual-stage driver and front passenger air bags, side impact air bags and safety canopy.

The vehicle also has a Ford exclusive protection system that features side curtain air bags to help protect front and rear outboard passengers in rollover and side impact crashes.
