AEGaming attempts to beat world record for longest recorded livestream

DUBAI, June 4, 2017

AEGaming, in partnership with Hub Zero, the region’s first family-friendly entertainment hub by Meraas located in City Walk, is inviting gamers to be part of a Guiness World Record attempt for the longest video livestream between June 1 and June 8.

Set to last a whopping 7 days, 7 hours and 7 minutes, the world record attempt will contest the current record which stands at 6 days, 6 hours and 30 minutes held by Lifestyler TV in Cologne, Germany.

The gaming extravaganza kicked off at 3 PM on June 1 at Hub Zero’s LAN Gaming area situated on the first floor which will be open for a full 24 hrs every day during the seven-day livestream. The schedule will comprise of LAN gaming tournaments, regular gameplay streaming, challenges such as the blindfold challenge where players will have to manouver the game blindfolded and a final boss challenge, where an amateaur gamer will battle a pro gamer. Adding to the action will also be a host of daily competitions taking place in ground floor of Hub Zero at attractions such as Sports Academy, Double Agent, Gear of War and more.

Pro and amateur gamers alike from the emirate can sign up for free for the individual gaming tournaments and show off their tricks at games such as Overwatch, Hearthstone, Dota 2, and CS:G0. As an added extra for those participating in the tournaments, there will also be a host of exciting prizes up for grabs such as free passes from Hub Zero and leading gaming hardware and electronics brand.
