Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued a law amending the names of the Eastern and Western Regions in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, a report said.

According to the resolution, ''The Eastern Region" in the emirate will be renamed "Al Ain Region", while "The Western Region" will be renamed "Al Dhafra Region”, reported Wam, the official Emirates news agency.
