Veridos to deploy border control system in Morocco
RABAT, March 24, 2016
Veridos, a provider of secure and pioneering identification and identity solutions, has won a deal from Morocco's General Directorate for National Security (DGSN) to design and implement a national border control system for all ports of entry, according to a report.
It will include the entire IT infrastructure necessary for the project, said the Biometric Update report.
The firm will provide stationary equipment for fixed border posts and mobile systems for border control at land, sea and airports, it said.
The solution is based on the Veridos verification platform VeriGO, which enables the integration of pre-existing infrastructures and databases.
Passports and travel documents will be authenticated using Visotec Expert 600 passport readers and Visocore Inspect devices.
The company will also provide automated border control (ABC) eGates and more than 140 Veridos mobile border control kits that include a laptop and a Dermalog fingerprint scanner for primary inspections in flexible environments.
Meanwhile, face biometrics and fingerprints can be captured by the system managing the entry and exit date making it relatively simple to check for visa violations or expiry, generate reports, and perform statistical analysis, the report added.
