Husain bin Ali Yateem, a leading Bahraini businessman, philanthropist and visionary who helped shape the nation, died yesterday (December 18) at the age of 101.

Yateem opened the country’s first cinema and its first petrol station and was instrumental in the formation of national airline Gulf Air, reported The Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
