Low meat sales hit butchers in Bahrain

Bahrain's butchers have said there has been no recovery in demand for locally slaughtered meat since prices soared on October 1 when government subsidies were axed. Muharraq Municipal Council member Ghazi Al Murbati toured the Muharraq Central Market yesterday and said he was shocked by the absence of customers, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
