Indian parents are again being urged to register their children within a year of their birth to ensure nationality.

Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha said that it was “incredibly important” to register children to access the relevant paperwork, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

A stateless 18-year-old student on Friday (October 23) attended the Indian Embassy’s open house pleading for help.
