Cheap meat sourced in Bahrain following prices row

MANAMA, October 23, 2015

Cheaper supplies of chilled Australian mutton have been sourced by Bahrain’s main livestock importer to help keep prices down. It is in response to a strike by butchers after the price of once-subsidised red meat soared after October 1, when the subsidy was scrapped, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
