Meat traders in Bahrain worry after demand drops

MANAMA, October 5, 2015

Butchers in Bahrain say business is now practically non-existent after the government removed meat subsidies on Thursday. Those who previously sold subsidised meat products have blamed the massive drop in demand on customers, both private consumers and restaurants, stockpiling before the subsidy was removed, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
