Shake Shack set to open in Muscat

MUSCAT, September 7, 2015

Shake Shack, the burger joint from New York City, is set to open its first Muscat, Oman, outlet in 2016, the company announced today.

It will be situated in the newly designed dining area inside the City Centre Muscat, and will be serving its signature 100 per cent all-natural Angus beef burgers, griddled-crisp flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crinkle cut fries and more.

Shake Shack’s fine-dining heritage and commitment to sourcing premium, sustainable ingredients have helped to pioneer the creation of a new “fine casual” category in restaurants, the company said.

Shake Shack’s international journey began in Dubai, at Mall of the Emirates, and has since continued throughout the Gulf.

The Muscat menu will feature Shake Shack’s signature items including the ShackBurger, Shack-cago Dog, classic crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard ice cream.

This Shack will create more than a 100 jobs for Omani nationals and play an essential role in Shake Shack’s mission to “Stand For Something Good”. As it has done around the globe, Shake Shack intends to work with select local vendors to create a truly one-of-a-kind Shack for the local community, the company said.

Shake Shack is a New York City institution and global brand. In its more than 10-year history, Shake Shack has been recognised with numerous accolades, including Bon Appétit's "The 20 Most Important Restaurants in America" (ranked 16), TIME Magazine's "17 Most Influential Burgers of All Time" (ranked 7 for the ShackBurger) and winning "Best Burger" in 2007 and 2014 at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival's Burger Bash.– TradeArabia News Service
