ABU DHABI, August 28, 2015
The Abu Dhabi Police is stepping up its preparations ahead of the 13th Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex 2015).
The event, which is organised by the Emirates Falconers' Club (EFC), will be hosted by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company from September 9 to 12.
Brigadier Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director General of Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, reiterated the keenness of the higher leadership to provide the necessary resources needed to ensure the success of this global event.
He also called upon members of the Security Committee to intensify efforts to enhance awareness among the exhibition visitors.
He also urged them to further endeavour to highlight this event, which has grown its reputation year after year, becoming the preferred destination for all hunting and equestrian equipment manufacturers, competing with similar international exhibitions.
Through its participation in this year’s edition of the exhibition, Abu Dhabi Police will focus on providing high-quality services in a way that befits the UAE’s prestigious international stature and honorable reputation, particularly in the field of organizing specialized exhibitions, said Brigadier Al Nahyan.
Colonel Homaid Al Afrit, head of the Weapons and Explosives Department at the Directorate General of the Security and Ports Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, chairman of the Exhibition’s Security Committee, indicated that the Committee is in the final preparation stages of the procedures established to receive the exhibition visitors and ensure their security.
The entrance gates will be open to all segments of society, he noted.
“A customer service centre will be established and will refer all inquiries concerning licensing procedures and relevant technical matters to the Security Committee,” explained Colonel Al Afrit.
The leaflets and brochures will be distributed to the exhibition visitors; this information includes insurance procedures, safety instructions and guidance, he said.
He also stressed the committee’s commitment to complete all transactions and provide an outstanding service in responding to the queries of buyers or to direct them properly to achieve their goals.
“Coordination meetings will be held to discuss all the preparations for the Exhibition, which has gained international fame and attention,” noted Colonel Al Afrit.
“The necessary conditions and requirements for buying and licensing weapons will be determined and announced later. They will be determined according to a deliberate mechanism that ensures easy and speedy procedures, in addition to raising awareness of buyers about weapons and their risks,” he concluded. - TradeArabia News Service
