Shawarmanji to expand in Dubai, Abu Dhabi
DUBAI, June 2, 2015
Shawarmanji, a Lebanese-based shawarma fast-food brand, has revealed expansion plans with new outlets planned for the UAE market in the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Shawarmanji is the first shawarma chain to open in more than one country and is also the first shawarma concept in the world to be accepted in airports starting with the recently opened Abu Dhabi International Airport. Operations at Dubai airport outlet are set to launch this month, a statement said.
With twelve outlets in Lebanon and six in the UAE, new outlets will be opening up in Mall of the Emirates and Sahara Mall in UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and South Africa.
Expanding on its business scope, Shawarmanji has retained its top priority as making the Shawarma sandwich broadly available to everyone, every day. As part of this effort, at every Shawarmanji location, trained staff makes each sandwich by hand, using only natural ingredients to ensure the highest quality, the statement said.
Elias Chabtini, CEO and co- founder, said: “While on the one hand, Shawarmanji is a delightful food haven for those that are passionate about Shawarma sandwiches, we are very keen on expanding the scope of operations to bring in more and more people to enjoy the original Shawarma experience. We have opened 18 restaurants within the last two years in UAE and Lebanon.”
“To this end, our expansion across countries is but imperative. As a dish that is both revered and enjoyed across the Middle East, we are simply pleased with our expansion plans. While we expand, our priority still remains the taste and we strive to add more value.
“The brand started in Lebanon and has begun to make its presence felt in other countries too. The aim is essentially to highlight on the main concept of being served the ‘Original Shawarma’ in a more suitable environment. To this end, Shawarmanji functions with a self-service approach. Using an open kitchen, Shawarmanji enables one to view the cooking process, and to ensure that it is clean and hygienic at all times,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
