Round Table Pizza opens first outlet in Bahrain
MANAMA, December 15, 2014
Round Table Pizza, an American pizza restaurant known for gourmet quality and fresh innovation, has opened its first restaurant in Bahrain in partnership with Al Mahroos Foods.
The restaurant is located within Al Raya Mall in Juffair and caters to dine in, take-out and delivery customers, said a statement.
A team of Bahraini managers successfully completed intensive training in San Francisco over a period of eight weeks, it said.
The training covered a range of aspects from food preparation, hygiene, management, ‘train the trainer’, quality control and customer service.
Mike Buck, director of international operation, said: “The training team from Bahrain all performed exceptionally and passed the Round Table Pizza Operational Certification programme.”
Extensive research and development, supported by laboratories in Bahrain and the US, was conducted to ensure high quality and taste by utilising locally sourced goods, such as Bahrain Flour Mills products and local water supplies.
These would be used as part of the dough and sauce preparation for the Bahrain operations.
Ali Ghali, co-founder of Al Mahroos Foods, said: “We are pleased to support our local producers and industry, such as Bahrain Flour Mills’ products as a base ingredient in preparing dough as part of our regional operations, in addition to other Bahraini and regional suppliers for meats, vegetables and other key items.”
Meanwhile, a second Round Table Pizza branch in Bahrain is currently under development and will be located across the street from the Ministry of Labour at Sultan Mall, Zayed Town, said the statement.
Further branches are in design phase across Bahrain and the broader GCC region, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
