Manama, June 24, 2014
Bahrain's Shura Council has completed more than 50 items of business in the past month, its chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh said yesterday (June 23) in a statement that ended the chamber's four-year term.
"In just a month we completed more than 50 legislations, projects and schemes, while issuing statements on everything that goes around us whether locally, regionally or internationally," he said.
He made the comments in the Shura Council's final meeting before summer, reported the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
The appointed chamber will resume work following national parliament and municipal council elections at the end of the year. - TradeArabia News Service
