Police seize 40,000 pills in Bahrain airport

Bahraini Police have foiled an attempt by a woman to smuggle thousands of Captagon pills through Bahrain International Airport.
They arrested her on arrival and seized 40,669 pills kept in foils and hidden in boxes in her bag, Customs president Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said.
Customs officers became suspicious and searched her luggage, seizing the haul, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
The suspect and the confiscated items were handed to the anti-narcotic directorate of the general directorate of criminal investigation and forensic science. - TradeArabia News Service
