Bahrain political groups to play role in nation building

Manama, May 27, 2014

Bahrain's Premier has urged activation of the role of political groups in achieving Bahrain's goals.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa affirmed that the way is now paved for political associations to make efforts to build the nation, enhance development and maintain security, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

He made his remarks while receiving the newly formed advisory board of the Al Menbar National Islamic Society, led by consultative authority chairman Dr Abdullatif Al Shaikh.

Board members congratulated the Premier on being granted the Golden Award by the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International) in appreciation of his achievements.

The Premier underlined his keenness to activate the role of political groups - to achieve national goals and optimise the kingdom's accomplishments.

The kingdom is developing and growing at all levels, but some sides are trying to impede such a march, the Premier said, stressing that those attempts will fail thanks to the loyal Bahraini people's awareness.

Hadn't there been some sides who allowed themselves to be used as tools of destruction against their homeland to serve well-known agendas, terrorist incidents would not have happened in Bahrain, the Premier said, lauding the people's unity to counter plots.

He asserted that all should contribute their share in the national work, praising, in this regard, the role played by parliament.

Meanwhile, Al Menbar National Islamic Society members said that Bahrain is on the right path as long as its government is led wisely and competently by the Premier, reaffirming all support for the state's efforts to ensure stability and boost development.

They praised the Premier's keenness to keep doors open for all Bahrainis, which, they said, is rarely done by many leaders across the world. - TradeArabia News Service
