Dubai, April 9, 2014

The Dubai Courts is showcasing its unique achievements during its participation in the Dubai Government Achievements Exhibition, which opened yesterday (April 8) at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Courts is highlighting a set of notable e-Projects, including ‘Al-Salfa’ – an integrated remote case registration e-Service, ‘Sure’ – a pro bono legal consultation programme, the e-Notary Public service, the Amicable Dispute Settlement Centre (civil and commercial), and the ‘Nebras’ mobile app, among other services.

The products being showcased by the Courts are aimed at every customers’ experience and helping them to complete their dealings and applications with speed and accuracy.

Taresh Eid Al-Mansouri, director of Dubai Courts, said that the Courts aims to provide an opportunity for those interested to cast their eyes over our local, national or international experiences.

The Courts’ initiatives are centred on achieving the vision of the Courts, ‘Pioneering in Courts Work’, as well as achieving one of the Courts’ strategic objectives, which is to promote community confidence in the judicial system, its capabilities and potential.

“E-transformation and smart services in Dubai Courts cover all judicial and administrative sectors. These services highlight the unique experiences of the partnership between the public and private sectors in the e-Systems development in the judicial sector. This can all be credited to our Interactive Department, who have had a head start in the provision of such services in the Courts,” Al-Mansouri added.

The first of its kind in the Middle East, ‘Al-Salfa’ e-Service enables law firms and all litigants to register cases electronically, record every detail, upload identification papers, and send them to Dubai Courts online.

Another programme, ‘Sure’, involves volunteer lawyers offering free legal consultations and advice to litigants on a wide variety of cases and lawsuits.

The e-notary public service, which is considered a revolution in the certification process over the Internet, includes 14 different types of certification that are provided by the Notary Public Department within the courts of Dubai.

E-auction is a shared service offered via ‘Emirates Auction’, and designed to organise and manage public auctions and achieve the highest profit possible.

The Amicable Dispute Settlement Centre is a one-stop shop offering an integrated package of services for quick and cost-effective settlement of disputes for businessmen and investors within the Emirate.

Among the services showcased at the exhibition was the ‘Nebras’ mobile app, which comprises many services of interest to Dubai Courts litigants and customers.

The exhibition will conclude on April 10. – TradeArabia News Service
