Big boost for Bahrain entrepreneurs

Major celebrations are lined up to mark the naming of Manama as the 'First capital for Arab entrepreneurs' in recognition of Bahrain's efforts in the field of entrepreneurship.
United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (Unido) office has planned more than 20 events focused in entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprise development based on international standard development systems created by the office over the past 20 years, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication, citing a senior official.
Unido Arab International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Investment, Arab Intellectual Forum and Federation of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture will take part in celebrations marking the occasion today (February 12).
Unido investment and technology office Bahrain head Dr Hashim Hussein Sulaiman said this global recognition places Bahrain at the forefront of an initiate to develop a unique model for enterprise growth, which is implemented in 38 countries worldwide after being endorsed by the United Nations.-TradeArabia News Service
