NEC to showcase cyber security solutions

NEC Corporation, a leading IT and network technologies company, will showcase its biometric and cyber security technologies at Intersec 2014 in Dubai.
The international trade fair for security and safety, which will run from January 19 to 21 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, will also exhibit a new video analytics system.
Under the theme “We Make Cities Safer,” the firm is demonstrating a portfolio that includes its NeoFace face recognition technology, a harbour monitoring network system and display solutions.
NEC’s biometric solutions are used in over 40 countries worldwide for law enforcement, border control and building access control.
The solutions also can be applied to consumer sectors such as VIP identification in hotels and restaurants and display screen marketing applications.
The company will also profile its advanced information security technologies and counterintelligence service.
During the show, NEC will also demonstrate its broad range of behaviour analysis technologies.
Its exhibits include the crowd behaviour analysis solution which uses security camera footage and real-time image analysis to automatically detect accidents, violence, public disorder and other crimes.
