No compromise on security: Bahrain PM

Manama, January 4, 2013

Any compromise on Bahrain’s security and stability has been ruled out by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, as he slammed acts of violence as irreligious, unethical and inhuman.

This came as the Premier patronised the graduation of the fifth batch of Royal Academy of Police cadets, said a report in our sister publication, the Gulf Daily News.

The Premier was welcomed on arrival by Lt-Gen Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and other senior officials.

Addressing the ceremony, the Premier praised the security forces for their dedication and bravery in assuming their duties.

The graduates then took oath after which the Premier honoured outstanding cadets.

He congratulated the 85 new graduates who will join their colleagues in protecting Bahrain's security and stability, hailing their discipline, competence and abnegation.

He paid tribute to the security forces for their hard work, dedication and bravery in performing their patriotic duties.

"Your sacrifices are remarkable lessons in loyalty, devotion, altruism and allegiance to the nation," he said.

He pointed out that the security personnel's outstanding skills and advanced competence testify to the endevaours of the government, represented by the Interior Ministry, to keep abreast of the latest developments in police sciences in order to build a modern police force.

They will be capable of providing the security and stability requirements of the nation, through application of hi-tech systems and well-studied scientific plans.

Shaikh Rashid said the graduates had acquired the know-how and expertise to join the ranks of their colleagues who guard the nation.

The academy commander said the graduates have, “over the past four years, been prepared mentally, physically and psychologically according to the latest curricula and are equipped to deal with every challenge”.

The graduates then staged a military parade. – TradeArabia News Service
