Raytheon wins $600m Saudi defence contract

Raytheon Company, a major American defence contractor and industrial corporation, has clinched a contract worth over $600 million for delivery of a command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) system to Saudi Arabia.
The contract was awarded to Raytheon's Network Centric Systems business as a direct commercial sale by the Saudi Ministry of Defence, said a statement from the company.
As per the deal, Raytheon will provide a national, strategic C4I system with capabilities for joint service co-ordination, it added.
Commenting on the win, a company spokesperson said, "Extending over four decades of co-operation, Raytheon values its continuing partnership with the Kingdom and is proud to have been selected to implement this essential system."-TradeArabia News Service
