eGA launches summer awareness campaign
Manama, July 9, 2012
The eGovernment Authority (eGA) yesterday launched its summer awareness campaign at the Bahrain City Centre which focuses on spreading awareness and familiarising the public with the eGA’s 235 eServices.
The campaign which will run an entire month, will come to an end on August 8, and is a part of the eGovernment’s awareness activities that coincide with summer and the oncoming Ramadan, a statement from eGA said.
In addition, the eGA is also communicating with the public through all delivery channels such as the National eGovernment Portal (Bahrain.bh), the Mobile Gateway (www.bahrain.bh/mobile), the National Contact Centre (8000 8001), as well as the eService Centers, self-service ekiosks that are distributed in commercial complexes and governmental premises.
The Authority has prepared a variety of awareness programmes and competitions to allow stand visitors to participate and win incentive prizes.
Mohammed Ziad Asfour, the assistant director of marketing and awareness directorate at eGA, said: “The Authority gives a high priority to the role of awareness, and hence organises numerous campaigns in various public locations in coordination with a number of public and private entities.”
“Our team will be available on site to provide guidance for stand visitors on how to make use of the eServices. In fact, we have become aware of the influence of such activities in raising the usability of public awareness services that are being offered to facilitate better life for citizens and residents,” he added.
“The directorate has set a special programme, which will be announced soon, for the holy month of Ramadan. IT will feature a number of new activities in line with the campaign running at the mall.”
“Such campaigns are introduced in order to increase awareness and encourage the community to utilise the eServices that are provided by the authority in joined efforts with other governmental entities, so as to avoid queues and save time,” Asfour concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
