An official from Bahrain’s eGovernment Authority has denied that the website bahrain.bh had been hacked on Tuesday.

It was reported yesterday (February 15) that infamous hacker group Anonymous claimed it had disrupted the website, along with that of combinedsystems.com - which is the online site of the US producer of tear gas used in Bahrain.

Sources in Bahrain initially confirmed the incident, but an eGovernment Authority official yesterday said it was simply not true.

"No such intrusion or communication was made to the eGovernment portal Bahrain.bh," the official said. – TradeArabia News Service
