Leading food processing and packaging solutions provider, Tetra Pak, will showcase its products and services at Anuga Food Tec set to take place in Germany next month.

The event, to be held in Cologne from March 27 to 30, is one of the largest food and drink exhibitions in the world, a statement said.

Under the theme of “Today, Tomorrow, Together”, Tetra Pak’s 4,800 sq m stand will showcase its strong current products and services offering, alongside a range of innovations for the future.

Specific areas of focus will include consumer experience, environment and customer performance, the statement said.

With sales of almost Dh51.2 billion ($13.94 billion) in 2011, Tetra Pak adopts a long-term investment strategy on innovation to ensure it continues to deliver products and services that meet the changing needs and expectations of customers and consumers, it said. 

The company invests around 4 per cent of its annual sales in research and development, supporting 11 R&D centres around the world.

Today, it owns more than 5,100 individual patents for the packaging and processing of liquid and semi-liquid food, it said.
