Volunteer call for Dubai film festival

Volunteer recruitment drives for the eighth Dubai International Film Festival (Diff), which will offer hundreds a chance to be a part of the event, will be held from November 12 to 14, at the Knowledge Village auditorium.
The festival which is to take place from December 7 to 14 is being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The first recruitment session will take place on November 12 (from 11am to 1pm), and is for UAE nationals only; the second session will take place from 6pm to 9pm on November 13, for returning volunteers; and the final session will be held from 5pm to 8 pm is open for all and for new volunteers, a statement from the organisers said.
Volunteers will be assigned to a variety of departments at Diff including theatre operations, box office and customer service, red carpet assistance, events and logistics, marketing, registration and accreditation, guest relations and hospitality, human resources and volunteer department and the Dubai Film Market.
All those interested must register online and confirm their attendance at one of the three sessions. Successful applicants will receive orientation training prior to the opening of the festival. All applicants must be over 15 and have good command of English, additional languages are a plus, the statement said.
Diff is held in association with Dubai Studio City, Dubai Duty Free, Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai Pearl, Emirates Airline and Madinat Jumeirah, the home of the Dubai International Film Festival, the principal sponsors of Diff.
