Samsung launches LED ‘video wall’
Dubai, October 10, 2011
Samsung Electronics launched an LED video wall with super slim bezel at the ongoing ICT show Gitex Technology Week in Dubai.
The UD Series (UD55A) is designed for commercial users such as TV stations, building lobbies and shopping malls that look to install video walls running for extended periods of time.
The Samsung UD55A LED large format display (LFD) is a spectacular display designed to deliver the largest images with high clarity.
The UD55A provides a full 1920x1080 HD resolution, a screen brightness of up to 700nits and an easy installation through unique LFD accessories, a statement said.
After assembly, the bezel-to-bezel rounds up to just 5.5mm, bringing nearly seamless experiences to an enterprise. Conventional LFDs are generally individually connected to the content source, but the digital loop out in the UD55A allows users to connect one LFD to another.
Businesses can enjoy superior picture quality with a digital visual interface (DVI) out that lets them share content between multiple LFDs.
“Organisations seek display solutions that are high quality, flexible and efficient,” said Karan Chopra, head of Solutions – Visual Display, Enterprise Business Group at Samsung Gulf Electronics.
“The UD55A will further solidify Samsung’s leadership position in the commercial large screen display market and help proliferate into other commercial segments,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
