More than two million tickets are expected to be sold for the London 2012 Paralympic Games, said the organisers.

A total of 4,200 athletes from 160 countries will attend the London 2012 Paralympic, running from August 29 to September 9, 2012.

The programme will feature 20 Paralympic sports – among them archery, athletics, judo, and power lifting – held across 20 competition venues.

“The Paralympic Games offer fantastic opportunities to see world class sport in world class venues at competitive prices.  It will be sport like never before – with unique drama, passion and emotion,” said Carol Maddison, spokesperson of Gulf-based VisitBritain, the tourism board of Britain.
