Bahrain sets agenda for National Dialogue

Issues related to political societies, youth affairs, means of enhancing competitiveness and rights of women and children top the agenda of the National Dialogue which begins today (July 5).
More than 300 participants, who registered yesterday, are set to come together around the table for the first time. The Dialogue will address four main themes – political, economic, social and human rights – under which 15 sub-themes are listed. Each sub-theme has 90 topics.
On Thursday, the session will focus on the authority of parliament, Shura Council, civil society institutions, government services and judiciary. On Sunday, the focus will be on governance, civil security and peace, public money management and freedom of expression.
The session on July 12 will cover the electoral system, redirecting support and community participation in development and human rights issues. Topic for the social session has not yet been listed. – TradeArabia News Service
