New restaurant opens on Saadiyat Island

Fanr, a contemporary casual restaurant featuring a blend of European, Mediterranean, Indian and traditional Arabic dishes, has opened on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.
Specialties of Fanr’s head chef Jihab Bawabejy, winner of the Bronze Award from the Emirates Culinary Guild, include a delicious tandoori chicken salad, tender Moroccan lamb shank and full-flavoured fish sayadia, a statement said.
Located within Manarat Al Saadiyat, the first cultural institution on Saadiyat Island, the venue is designed by international architecture firm AEDAS, and features seating for 250 diners.
Guests can choose to sit in the light interior and enjoy the stunning floor to ceiling windows, or to dine al fresco in the traditional Arabian style courtyard, the statement said.
Built by Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the master developer of Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi, Fanr is managed by Troon Golf, a leading luxury brand golf management company. – TradeArabia News Service
