Greenline fits out award winning yacht

Dubai, May 19, 2011

Dubai-based Greenline Yacht Interiors (GLYI), a part of UAE's Greenline Group, fitted out an area of 2,500 sq m of the interior space of a global award winning yacht.

M.Y. Eclipse was presented with the Best Motor Yacht of the Year Award during the recently held sixth annual World Superyacht Awards event in Guildhall-London.

The area covered by GLYI included the guest, VIP and owner’s areas of the 162.50-metre motor yacht, built at the Blohm+Voss shipyard in Hamburg and designed by Terence Disdale.

“Greenline Yacht Interiors is very proud to have been involved in this unique project. The quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail involved in the fit-out of this motor yacht is testimony to the skill of our people,” said Samir Badro, chairman and CEO, GLYI.

“Having our work recognized as a part of this award-winning yacht demonstrates that Greenline Yacht Interiors is a highly respected interior outfitting company and that we compete alongside the best fit-out firms in the global superyacht industry,” he added.

“Greenline’s latest technology complements the high quality craftsmanship that transforms our customer’s vision into reality,” Badro continued.

“We are honoured to continuously have the opportunity to work with the best designers and shipyards that cater for high net worth individuals which help us retain our place among global leaders in the yacht outfitting business,” he concluded.

Delivered at the end of the year 2010, the M.Y. Eclipse now holds the title of the largest privately-owned yacht in the world, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
