UK-based Terence Williams Design, a contemporary furniture and accessories maker, has launched its modernist deckchair.

Each chair is hand made in England using the finest materials available and individually signed and dated, a statement said.

The fold up chair, which can be traced back to the days of ancient Egypt, has now been re-invented for the 21st century, turning a ubiquitous, utilitarian object into something of great beauty, style and elegance, which would not look out of place in the finest of contemporary interiors, it added.

The fact that it looks good enough to place on the wall, is a great bonus when space in modern interiors is of such a premium, the designer said in the statement.

The Modernist Chair is currently available in black or antique burgundy, other colours on application. Prices start at GBP1600 ($2,600). – TradeArabia News Service
