Bahrain egovt authority to join Oman event

Bahrain’s eGovernment Authority will participate in the 4th Government eServices Exhibition (Comex 2011) to be held in Oman.
The authority aims to showcase Bahrain’s eProjects and initiatives as well as highlight the key services offered by government entities in Bahrain through the means of information and communication technologies, at the exhibition, from April 25 to 29.
The exhibition will provide a dynamic platform for government entities to meet under the umbrella of Oman’s digital initiative to exchange expertise in the ICT field, in addition to reinforce the cooperation and integration between various government entities as well as to encourage the development of their eServices, said a statement.
Mohammad Ziad Asfour, assistant director, marketing and awareness directorate at the eGovernment Authority stated: “This is our first ever participation in Comex and it will be a unique opportunity for us to share knowledge and exchange the experience in the eGovernment arena among GCC countries and look into innovative ideas related to linking our prospective initiatives that will facilitate services for all GCC citizens.”
COMEX 2011 is participated by a number of Omani Government entities in addition to other GCC enterprises and leading ICT international organizations.
The Bahrain pavilion will demonstrate the latest and cutting-edge ICT products that will provide integrated eGovernment services introducing the advanced level of services offered to citizens, residents, businesses and visitors in the kingdom. – TradeArabia News Service
