Curfew relaxed in Manama

Manama, April 4, 2011

A curfew imposed on a stretch of Manama now runs from midnight until 5am.

A change in timing was announced yesterday by the BDF’s General Command.

The curfew zone extends from the Seef Flyover to the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Causeway, which links the Diplomatic Area with Muharraq, and 400 metres on either side of the highway.

The curfew was previously enforced from 11pm until 4am, but the military said it was pushed back due to improvements in security.-TradeArabia News Service
