Al Qasba Development Authority will kick off its signature festival Al Qasba Food Festival 2011 tomorrow (March 24) at Sharjah’s premiere tourism destination.

A host of renowned chefs from various hotels and restaurants in the UAE will feature in this year’s festivals with their cooking skills every day from 5:30 pm till midnight.

Organized by Smart Solutions, Al Qasba Food Festival 2011 is expected to welcome thousands of visitors during its ten-day run, with an array of activities.

The event will feature food carving, adults and kids workshops, cocktail recipes, canvas painting, sesame street characters all to chef competitions and musical shows, a statement said.

“Following the huge success of last year’s edition, we have been looking forward to organizing a larger edition that will be even more popular”, said Dina Al Nakhi, events manager at Al Qasba Development Authority.

“We are confident that our new theme ‘Slice and Dice’ will attract a lot of people from around the UAE wanting to see the artistic decoration of dishes.  We invite our visitors to enjoy live musical performances and animated stilt performers that will parade through the crowds, and taste some of the world’s most delicious dishes prepared by our honoured guest chefs,” Al Nakhi added. – TradeArabia News Service
