Bahrain PM urges citizens to protect gains

The Premier has called on Bahrain citizens to cherish and preserve gains and achievements accomplished since their unanimous vote on the National Action Charter.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa urged the need for coherence and synergy for political, economic and social development, since His Majesty King Hamad launched the national reform project, which has become a milestone, a will of the government and a determination of people to elevate achievements.

HRH the Premier spoke as he chaired the Cabinet session.

He congratulated His Majesty on the 10th anniversary of the vote, stressing that the National Action Charter provided a strong start for a continuous process of modernisation and development in all aspects of life reflected in a national vision and strength of citizen-based work and a foundation for justice, equality and respect. He praised national gains since the adoption of the Charter that have made possible a quantum leap in the quality of citizens' lives - a goal in itself.

'National values espoused by the Charter make us feel proud,' HRH the Premier said.

'These values feature national unity at its best. The unity and the voting on the Charter 10 years ago is what will help us overcome challenges and sustain our social fabric and ensure security and stability,' he said.

HRH the Premier invited everyone to be inspired from lessons of coherence through the Charter to renew and push forward modernisation and development, based on national unity which will remain the safeguard for people to rally to achieve more national gains and achievements.-TradeArabia News Service
