Carpet Oasis sales hit $5.4m in two weeks

Carpet Oasis, organised by Dubai Customs and among the major attraction of this year’s Dubai Shopping Festival, has recorded sales of Dh20 million ($5.44 million) in its first two weeks.
Khalid Al Muzin, head of the organising committee for Carpet Oasis, said 4,200 handmade carpets were sold in two weeks.
He also said that the venue was seeing an increase in visitors and the deals conducted between traders from within and outside UAE.
As many as 52 exhibitors are putting up a display of close to 170,000 handmade carpets and rugs at the show.
Carpet Oasis is on at the West Hall at Airport Expo Dubai and will go on till February 20. The exhibition is open from 10 am to 10 pm from Saturday to Thursday, and from 4 pm to 11 pm on Friday. – TradeArabia News Service
