Jordan bus crash survivors return to Bahrain

Survivors of a tragic bus crash that killed three Bahrainis in Jordan returned yesterday (December 24) to a tearful reunion with their families.
Health Minister Dr Faisal Al Amer received the 24, including three children, at Bahrain International Airport as they flew in from Amman.
The bodies of three Bahrainis - Mahmood Ali Ahmed Sultan, 26, his fiance Wafa'a Jassim Al Fardan and Badriya Juma Abdul Hussain - who died in the bus collision were handed over to their families for burial.
The remaining patients will return in the next two days, accompanied by a health delegation from Bahrain.
The accident happened on Thursday at the Al Zarq'a area when the bus driver attempted to avoid a trailer heading towards him, according to the Jordanian Embassy in Bahrain.
Forty-nine Bahraini pilgrims, including 38 women and two drivers, were travelling on the bus owned by Bahrain-based Al Dalal Caravan to the Sayeda Zainab shrine in Damascus, Syria.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa had directed officials to ensure necessary support is provided to the victims. – TradeArabia News Service
