RAK Ceramics staff in clean-up drive

Ras Al Khaimah, December 13, 2010

RAK Ceramics, the leader in ceramic tiles and sanitaryware, recently participated a clean-up drive that was simultaneously conducted across different locations in the UAE.

At the ninth edition of the Clean Up UAE campaign, organised by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), at least 50 RAK Ceramics employees and senior managers volunteered to clean up a section of the Ras Al Khaimah.

The activity was organised as part of a global campaign against environmental degradation and climate change.

"The Clean Up UAE campaign is an excellent opportunity to reinforce RAK Ceramics' commitment to environmental protection and conservation,” said Abdulla Mahmood, head of marketing and corporate communications, RAK Ceramics.

“This is a meaningful exercise that benefits the entire community and provides a great venue for social integration and interaction for our employees and other members of the society. RAK Ceramics looks forward to be more actively involved and even initiate similar activities in the future,” he added.

Clean Up UAE is a groundbreaking initiative introduced by EEG that gathers thousands of participants annually since its inauguration in 2002. RAK Ceramics employees and other volunteers simultaneously conducted clean-up drives in key locations all over the UAE, including parks, industrial areas, beaches, wadis, deserts and mountain ranges. – TradeArabia News Service
