Danube partners with upcoming interiors firm
Dubai, December 12, 2010
Dubai-based Danube Building Materials said it has forged a strategic partnership with Innov8, an upcoming player in the home interiors market, to consolidate its leadership in this segment.
As per the agreement, Innov8’s latest line of curtains, blinds and accessories will be distributed under the banner ‘Illumin8 by Danube Buildmart,’ said a company statement.
The move highlights Danube Buildmart’s strategic thrust to become the premier one-stop-shop for all interior needs in the Middle East region, it added.
Innov8 has maintained a strong market presence in the UAE as a leading manufacturer of curtains and blinds over the last six years and has just recently shifted a larger focus towards the GCC and UK markets over the last two years.
The company has also gained a strong share in the UAE market - with a large bulk of its products catering to key development projects of contractors and designers, providing an all-year-round project management solution to its clients.
Banking on its steadily growing presence in the UAE and Middle East market, the move to partner with a leading construction and interiors chain like Danube Buildmart, is expected to reinforce both Buildmart and Innov8’s presence in the Middle East construction and interior segments.
'Buildmart has slowly built a reputation of being able to provide the strong demands of today’s construction and interior materials market,' said Rizwan Sajan, chairman of Danube Building Materials.
'Our understanding of the market trends and shifts have made it possible for us to help launch up-and-coming companies like Innov8 into the Middle East market - making their products and services more accessible to a wider audience,' he added.
The products under the ‘Illumin8 by Danube Buildmart’ banner, include the latest5 range of Roman blinds, curtains, panels, and a new collection of verticals, rollers and panel blinds, said a statement from Danube.
The new line of products follows after the recent launch of a brand new point of sale concept for curtains and blinds directed at retails showrooms, allowing customers an easier way to select fabrics and products, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
