Dubai Press Club partners with MMS

The Dubai Press Club said it has partnered with The Media and Marketing Show 2010 (MMS), a premier media and marketing event in the region, which runs from December 13 to 15 in Dubai.
MMS is expected to feature an impressive list of participating media companies along with media buyers and providers altogether in a one-of-a-kind display for the latest industry initiatives, developments and technologies.
In addition to the mammoth networking opportunities, MMS 2010 will also feature an ensemble of conferences and seminars focusing on the industry, said the event organisers Domus Group.
Maysoon A. Abulhoul, the managing director of Domus Group, said the sixth edition of the MMS will once again solidify this event as a major key player in influencing the future of the media and marketing industry in the region.
'This year’s show is a must for media and marketing professionals from across the globe,' he added.
A major highlight of this year's show will be a round table discussion on ‘Audience reaction to Middle East coverage by international Arabic-language media’ on the secnd day at Rusiya Al-Yaum’s stand.
Rusiya Al-Yaum is the first Russian TV news channel broadcasting in Arabic and is widely recognized as one of the most influential television networks in Russia. Rusiya Al-Yaum was launched in May 2007 and is part of the RT News brand.
Top industry personalities including, Abd al-Bari Atwan, the editor-in chief of London-based pan-Arab newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi, Dr Nabil Al Khatib, executive editor at the Al Arabiya channel, Dr Naser Shrouf, head of Distribution Africa/ Middle East at Deutsche Welle Arabic channel and Aydar Aganin, director of Rusiya Al-Yaum will lead the debates and conferences.
Commenting on the sponsorship, DPC executive director Maryam Bin Fahad said, “The partnership completes a series of mutual efforts to support local and international media activities, and to offer an integrated media services, and has been focused on expanding its network with media organizations through closer relationships between MMS and the participating journalists.'
She added, “Through our sponsorship of the media center, we can help provide the journalists with an easy access to use many of the offered facilities and we are going to do our best efforts to ensure the success of this important event,” she added.
Bin Fahd said the DPC was going to undertake many local and regional initiatives. On the other hand, DPC opened the door of nominations for 10th edition of Arab Journalism Awards, which honours Arab journalists from the Mena region.
Al Ahram, the leading Egyptian newspaper will also organize a seminar entitled 'Way of news organizations to the media companies' on the opening day of the show.-TradeArabia News Service
