US-based Kohler, a global leader in fixtures for kitchens and bathrooms, has redesigned and launched its first and oldest toilet - the Wellworth.

Turning 75 this year, the Kohler Wellworth toilet’s is getting its first redesign in 25 years.

The Kohler Wellworth toilet family, with Class Five flushing technology, now offers a model that will flush just 3.8 litres, a company statement said.

This water-conserving toilet can save a family of four 62,459 litres of water and is certified to carry EPA’s WaterSense label for using at least 20 per cent less water than standard 6 litres, while still meeting strict flushing performance guidelines.

Contributing to the toilet’s power and virtually plug-free performance is a combination of a precision-designed water delivery system and durable canister flush valve that maximize the efficient flow of water to harness the natural force of gravity.

This is achieved by the canister valve’s opening, originating at 7.7 cm and tapering down to 5.1 cm to create additional pressure and a strong flush – all while using water most efficiently.

Adding to the exceptional value of the Wellworth toilet is a new versatile tank design – one that has been updated featuring an elegant flare to complement a wide range of bathroom designs.

The Wellworth toilet also relies on a standard three-bolt installation, ideal for adjustments and levelling, as well as a large toilet base to cover existing footprints for replacement applications, the statement added.

In terms of hygiene, greater than 50 per cent more water passes through the bowl rim, optimizing water flow for a long, clean and efficient rinse. In addition, the Wellworth toilet continues to feature its generous water surface, keeping the bowl clean and reducing odour despite using less water than its predecessor, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
