Gunmen abducted the head of a Saudi hospital in north Yemen on Monday, and demanded the release of militants held in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, local officials said.

A government official confirmed that Dhafer al Shahrani, a Saudi citizen who heads Al Salam Hospital in the northern province of Saada, was kidnapped, but he did not give details about the abductors' demands. – Reuters
