Bahrain farm show mascots named

Bahrain Animal Production Show (BAPS) 2010 has announced the winning names of the Mara'ee Mascots after a public competition.
The chicken mascot has been named Rayash, which was chosen by Dana Mohammed.
The cow mascot was named Marah, with the winning entry by Mohammed Al Mukhtar.
The fish has been given the name Zaanoof, entered by Yousif Jumaan.
The names entered were judged by a panel consisting of Yaqouby Stores representative Bassim Al Khan, professional photographer Alexander John, Pico International Bahrain representative Khalid Juman, Ahmad Al Madani from the Municipalities and Urban Planning Ministry and Municipalities and Urban Planning Under-Secretary Dr Nabeel Abu Al Fateh.
The mascots will roam around the BAPS site during the three-day show as part of the Walkabout Acts.
The mascot naming competition winners will be presented with their prizes during the show on Thursday.
BAPS will open to VIPs tomorrow and will be open to the public from 10am to 8pm from November 25 to 27.-TradeArabia News Service
