Content management 'frees up 40pc of working day'

Dubai, October 28, 2010

Content management software can free up forty percent of a working day, adding up to sixty four hours every working month according to the head of a leading content management company.

Steve Davis, president of Author-it Software Corporation, said that an average of eight days a month are wasted on re-editing and correction by everyone engaged in content creation and management, stressing that Author-it software eliminates this wastage and allows this time to be used elsewhere.

Author-it is a content management system that enables multiple writers to work together to update, change or create documents from several locations with zero risk of error or misuse.

“Content management software slashes error probability, provides greatly enhanced content security and it also works well as a resource management tool,” said Davis.

“Presently, with most organisations in a cost conscious mode, the ability to virtually negate content error and make more than one week a month available for enhanced productivity to boot, is a no-brainer.”

Citing a recent survey, Davis said that the error ratio was above 30 per cent for basic business documents.

Davis is set to speak on the intelligent use of content in compliance at the upcoming GCC Cards Summit, which will take place in Bahrain, on November 2 and 3, and at special workshop sessions on November 4 and 8.-TradeArabia News Service
