Forum to discuss Saudi water, power plans

A large number of regional and international experts will discuss policies and strategies for Saudi Arabian water and power industry at an ongoing water and power forum in Jeddah.

The three-day Saudi Water & Power Forum (SWPF 2010) opened in Jeddah on October 4 under the theme "Sustainable Prosperity through Knowledge, Innovation and Cooperation”.

The annual forum plays a key role in uniting Saudi and international stakeholders to focus on how to adapt to the changing market and achieve sustainable prosperity through knowledge, innovation and cooperation.

The largest gathering of water and power industry professionals in Saudi Arabia, SWPF brings together both local and international industry luminaries to achieve the knowledge, contacts and partnerships required for further development of business in one of the largest power and water markets in the world.

SWPF 2010 consists of a three-day strategic forum, international exhibition, National Water Company Day and technical sessions.

Topics to be discussed at the forum include policies, projects and prospects for a sustainable future; initiatives to support innovation in the sector; realization of the potential of technology; renewable energy opportunities and solutions; energy conservation and demand management; water resource management; and financial tools for technology development and consumer relations.

SWPF has been organised by Bushnak Academy and CWC, experts in diversified sectors, under the auspices of the Saudi Ministry of Water and Electricity. – TradeArabia News Service
